Baz's Mod vehicles
This article is about a game mod for LEGO Rock Raiders. The contents of this page are not relevant to the original game or to do with official media.
This is a list of changes made to vehicles in Baz's Mod.
Hover Scout
The Hover Scout has a few major changes from its original version. It starts off with a radar of 4 blocks, which can be upgraded to 8, and it can also be teleported down without the need of a Support Station. The engine upgrade is also stronger.
Dependencies
The Hover Scout costs 1 energy crystal and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 1 Teleport Pad
- Power Station
Upgrades
There are two upgrades available for the Hover Scout:
- Engine: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This doubles the vehicle's speed from 3 blocks/sec to 6 blocks/sec.
- Scanner: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This puts a radar aboard the vehicle, with a scanning radius of 8 blocks.
Small Digger
The Small Digger has a few minor changes from the original version. It now takes a minute less time to drill hard rock (120 seconds or 2 minutes without upgrades). It also costs one more crystal.
Dependencies
The Small Digger costs 2 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 1 Teleport Pad
- Level 1 Power Station
- Support Station
Upgrades
There are three upgrades available for the Small Digger:
- Drill: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This adds a third small drill to the vehicle. It now only takes 1 second to drill dirt, 2 seconds to drill loose Rock, 90 seconds (1 and a half minutes) to drill hard rock, and 4 seconds to drill seams.
- Engine: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This doubles the vehicle's speed from 2 blocks/sec to 4 blocks/sec.
- Scanner: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This puts a geo scanner aboard the vehicle, with a scanning radius of 4 blocks.
Small Transport Truck
The Small Transport Truck has a few minor changes from the original version. It now takes three crystals to make instead of 2. Rock Raiders can now enter while carrying materials. The materials they're carrying will be placed in the cargo hold.
Dependencies
The Small Transport Truck costs 3 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 1 Teleport Pad
- Level 1 Power Station
- Support Station
Upgrades
There are three upgrades available for the Small Transport Truck:
- Engine: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This doubles the vehicle's speed from 3 blocks/sec to 6 blocks/sec.
- Scanner: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This puts a geo-scanner aboard the vehicle, with a scanning radius of 4 blocks.
- Carry Capability: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This adds an extra cargo hold to the vehicle which increases the capacity from 3 to 6.
Rapid Rider
The Rapid Rider has a few minor changes from the original version. It now only costs 1 energy crystal and moves 3 blocks/sec. It also includes radar with a scanning radius of 4 blocks (like the Hover Scout).

Small Mobile Laser Cutter
The Small Mobile Laser Cutter has several major changes from the original version. The pointless drill upgrade is removed in favor of an engine upgrade that doubles its speed. It can now cross lava at half speed (0.25 blocks/sec unupgraded). Its laser can now mine walls up to 5 blocks away. It can mine dirt in 9 shots, loose rock in 18, hard rock in around 60, and seams in around 32. It can now effectively kill monsters.

The Small Mobile Laser Cutter costs 3 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 2 Teleport Pad
- Level 1 Power Station
- Level 1 Support Station
Upgrades
There is only one upgrade available for the Small Mobile Laser Cutter:
- Engine: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This upgrades its move speed to 1.0 block/sec on ground and 0.5 block/sec on lava.
Tunnel Scout
The Tunnel Scout remains mostly unchanged from the original version, however it does require one more crystal than it did originally.
Dependencies
The Tunnel Scout costs 4 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 2 Teleport Pad
- Level 1 Power Station
- Level 1 Support Station
Loader Dozer
The Loader Dozer remains mostly unchanged from the original version, however it does require one more crystal than it did originally.
Dependencies
The Loader Dozer costs 5 energy erystals and requires the following for teleportation:
- Rock Raider
- Level 1 Tool Store
- Level 1 Teleport Pad
- Level 1 Power Station
- Level 2 Support Station
- Super Teleport
Upgrades
There are three upgrades available for the Loader Dozer:
- Engine: Costs 20 pieces of ore. This improves the vehicle's speed from 0.5 blocks/sec to 0.8 blocks/sec.
- Scanner: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This puts a radar aboard the vehicle, with a scanning radius of 5 blocks.
- Carry Capability: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This adds two small cargo holds to the back of the vehicle, allowing it to carry up to 2 energy crystals or pieces of ore.
Granite Grinder
The Granite Grinder has a few minor changes from the original version. It now takes much less time drilling hard rock (30 seconds unupgraded and 15 seconds upgraded) while the engine upgrade is also slightly more effective. It also now requires 6 crystals in order to be teleported down.

Upgrades
There are three upgrades available for the Granite Grinder:
- Drill: Costs 20 pieces of ore.
This adds a second large drill to the vehicle. It now only takes 0.4 seconds to drill dirt, 1 second for loose rock, 15 seconds to drill hard rock, and 8 seconds for seams.
- Engine: Costs 20 pieces of ore. This upgrades the vehicle's speed from 0.5 blocks/sec to 1.0 blocks/sec.
- Scanner: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This puts a radar aboard the vehicle, with a scanning radius of 5 blocks.
Large Mobile Laser Cutter
The Large Mobile Laser Cutter has several major changes from the original version. Like the Small Mobile Laser Cutter, it has been given an engine upgrade and it can now cross lava at half speed. Its laser can now mine up to 8 blocks away. Without an upgrade, dirt can be mined in three shots, loose rock in four shots, hard rock in six shots, and seams in around 32 shots. The recharge time is decreased and it can now kill monsters. The vehicle also now takes more energy crystals to teleport.

The Large Mobile Laser Cutter costs 8 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:

Upgrades
There are three upgrades available for the Large Mobile Laser Cutter:
- Drill: Costs 25 pieces of ore. This equips the vehicle with another laser so that dirt can be mined in one shot, loose rock in two shots, hard rock in four shots, and seams in around 13 shots.
- Engine: Costs 10 pieces of ore. This doubles its speed to 0.8 blocks/sec.
- Radar: Costs 5 pieces of ore. This equips the vehicle with a radar dish, with a scanning radius of 5 blocks.
Cargo Carrier
The Cargo Carrier has a few minor changes from the original version. It now takes more crystals to teleport, moves 2.5 blocks/sec (faster than the Tunnel Transport), and can also carry the Hover Scout.

The Cargo Carrier costs 7 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:

Chrome Crusher
The Chrome Crusher has several minor changes from the original version. It now takes more crystals to teleport while the engine and drill upgrades are now more effective. The mining laser is also more efficient, being able to shoot from 6 blocks away. The laser can also now kill monsters. In addition, the Super Teleport must now be upgraded to the new Level 2 status in order to teleport it down.

The Chrome Crusher costs 10 energy crystals and requires the following for teleportation:

Upgrades
There are two upgrades available for the Chrome Crusher:
- Drill: Costs 20 pieces of ore. This adds a second large drill to the vehicle, making it plow through walls in less than a second. It now only takes 0.1 seconds to drill dirt, 0.1 second for loose rock, 0.2 seconds to drill hard rock, and 0.8 seconds to drill seams.
- Engine: Costs 15 pieces of ore. This doubles the vehicle's speed from 0.3 blocks/sec to 0.8 blocks/sec.
Tunnel Transport
The Tunnel Transport is a new addition to the game that was cut out of the original game. It moves at a brisk 1.5 blocks/sec. It can pick up any small vehicle except the Tunnel Scout, and carry them across lava or water.
