Visible differences from the final version of the game include:

• The information panel has a different appearance and lacks an air supply meter.
• The energy crystal and ore counters are on the left side of the screen, and do not have any meters that fill up as the number of them stored increases.
• Multiple notification tabs for energy crystals found are displayed, rather than each type of notification having one tab. An image of a blue energy crystal is used rather than a green one; however, the energy crystals in the level are green.
• Multiple notification tabs with a white LEGO brick are displayed, presumably using either "info-construct.bmp" or "BuildingTIP.bmp".
• Much of the final interface is missing, and a button with an unknown purpose is shown where the radar panel would be.
• Only one vehicle menu button exists, rather than separate ones for small and large vehicles.
• Power paths for buildings are more rough and ground-like.
