The Pusher Beam is a weapon that fires rays that knock creatures back. In the Windows game, it does only a small amount of damage to all creatures, mostly just being useful for pushing them away from Rock Raider HQ. In the PlayStation game, the Pusher Beam can kill Scorpions in three shots, but Spiders and Slimy Slugs are only stunned, and monsters are just knocked back slightly. Rock Whales are too large to be pushed, instead seeming to be irritated by it and walking in whatever direction they're facing.

The Freezer Beam is a weapon that temporarily freezes creatures in a block of ice. In the Windows game, it freezes Rock Monsters with minimal damage, but does heavy damage to Lava Monsters. Ice Monsters are immune due to being made of ice, and Slimy Slugs are unaffected as well for some reason. In the PlayStation game, the Freezer Beam can't actually kill any creatures, only freezing them for a while to give the player time to get away.

Ice Monsters are immune due to being made of ice, and Slimy Slugs are unaffected as well for some reason. In the PlayStation game, the Freezer Beam is more defensive: instead of firing a beam like in the Windows game, it creates a temporary shield around the player (though it doesn't follow the player), which spins in place and freezes any creatures that walk into it. It can't kill anything, though it can be used alongside other weapons to give the player an easier shot at a creature by immobilizing it.

Sonic Blaster
The Sonic Blaster is a small machine that can be activated and dropped to scare off nearby creatures. It does not require Action Stations to be activated, and Rock Raiders need to be manually ordered to use it. ==PowerCell==
PowerCells are ammunition packs that are needed to fire weapons in the PlayStation version of LEGO Rock Raiders. Each type of PowerCell recharges its respective weapon to allow it to be fired an additional number of times: 20 for the Pusher Beam, 10 for the Freezer Beam, and 5 for the Laser Beam. Picking up PowerCells with Sparks will allow for double these amounts of usage. Laser Beam PowerCells can also be used to recharge the mining lasers of the Small Mobile Laser Cutter, Large Mobile Laser Cutter, and Chrome Crusher.
Shield Recharge
Shield Recharges are pickups in the PlayStation version of LEGO Rock Raiders that recharge the energy shields of Rock Raiders and vehicles. When a Rock Raider trains as a Geologist, they are given a GeoScanner (once called a GeoLocater, though not referred to directly in-game), which is used for mapping out the surrounding geology.  This is an extremely useful tool when mining, which allows one to figure out where to drill. However it is unable to discern whether a cavern contains a cache of crystals or eroding lava.

Beam Gun
The Beam Gun is a defensive tool used by the Rock Raiders to protect themselves from the monsters. Using PowerCells, which are only seen in the PlayStation game and are mentioned in the books, it can have numerous functions.
Blue PowerCell
The Blue PowerCell gives the Beam Gun an ice function. The freezer beam is the most effective weapon against Lava Monsters, though, not surprisingly, it is ineffective against Ice Monsters. When an enemy is shot with an ice beam, they are frozen solid for several minutes. In the PlayStation game, the freezer beam blast circles around the Rock Raider, rather than firing straight, creating a sort of "ice shield".
Yellow PowerCell
The Yellow PowerCell gives the Beam Gun the ability to push objects away. They are mostly used as a tool for the Rock Raiders, rather than a weapon like the other PowerCells. They can be used against the monsters, but it has barely any effect.
Interestingly, in the PlayStation game the Pusher Beam can stun and shrink creatures, as well as push them away. They are even used against Rock Whales to make them move in whatever direction they are facing.
Green PowerCell
The Green PowerCell gives the Beam Gun a laserbeam function. The laserbeam is the most effective weapon against the Rock and Ice Monsters, destroying them in one shot. It is effective against Lava Monsters, but not as much.

Personal Energy Shield
Every Rock Raider and vehicle is equipped with a personal energy shield, to protect them from the dangers of Planet U. If a shield’s power supply is depleted one of two things must be done; Locate Shield Recharge orbs or immediately teleport the Rock Raider to the LMS Explorer. Docs had his shield modified to recharge while using his drill, it is unknown how this works though.

Power Drill
The Power Drill is a hand-held tool to drill through the rock walls. It can breach dirt and loose rock walls, but not hard rock.

Radar
Radar
The radar has two functions, the first is a map of the cavern, showing the Rock Raiders, their equipment, and the aliens if any. The second  function is a camera, which can be centered around one object or person, constantly follow it wherever it goes.

Shield Recharge Orbs
The Shield Recharge Orbs are two small, green, floating orbs that spin in a circle. They have the ability to recharge an object's or person's shield instantly.
The Shield Recharge Orbs only appear in the PlayStation game.
Pusher Beam
This blaster emits a beam that "pushes" monsters. It pushes them while taking away health. It is especially effective against Slimy Slugs who are not affected by Laser or Freezer Beams, however is less effective against larger monsters such as Rock, Lava, and Ice Monsters. This weapon is seen in the LEGO Rock Raiders PC game. It can be picked up at the Tool Store.
Laser Beam
This blaster emits a laser beam that damages monsters. It is very effective against Ice Monsters. It is also effective against Rock Monsters. It is, however not very effective against Lava Monsters and Slimy Slugs. This weapon is seen it the LEGO Rock Raiders PC game. It can be picked up at the Tool Store.
Freezer Beam
This blaster emits a beam that temporarily freezes and damages Monsters. It is very effective against Lava Monsters. It is also effective against Rock Monsters. It is, however, not very effective against Ice Monsters, and Slimy Slugs are completely unaffected. This weapon is seen in the LEGO Rock Raiders PC game. It can be picked up at the Tool Store.
Sonic Blaster
Sonic Blasters are defensive tools used against Slimy Slugs. Once a Sonic Blaster is dropped, it emits a high-pitched noise that drives away the Slimy Slugs.

Drill

Get Drill icon

The drill is a jackhammer designed for drilling various weaker rock types. It is the most basic mining tool, as all Rock Raiders teleport down with one. In the Windows version of LEGO Rock Raiders, the drill takes four seconds to drill Dirt, eight seconds to drill Loose Rock, and forty seconds to drill Seams. In the PlayStation version of LEGO Rock Raiders, the drill take approximately two and a half seconds to drill Dirt, and seven seconds to drill Loose Rock. Handheld drills cannot drill through Hard Rock.

Shovel

Get Shovel icon

The shovel or spade is a tool used for clearing up rubble, either to make it easier for Rock Raiders to walk across, or to dig up useful Ore that may be burred underneath it. It takes approximately ten seconds[verify] for a Rock Raider to shovel rubble. Rock Raiders are also depicted using shovels to build Power Paths and patch together lava-eroded terrain, despite being unnecessary for them to actually be carrying one for either task. This tool is only used in the Windows game.

Hammer

Get Hammer icon

The hammer is a tool used for reinforcing walls to prevent them from causing landslides and cave-ins, and to stop monsters from emerging. This tool is only used in the Windows game.

Spanner

Get Spanner icon

The spanner is a wrench used for repairing damaged buildings. Though Rock Raiders can carry spanners at any time, they must be trained as a engineers to repair buildings with them. This tool is only used in the Windows game.

Weapons

Laser Beam

Get Laser Beam icon

The Laser Beam is a powerful weapon that fires beams of focused energy. It can kill Rock Monsters and Ice Monsters in a single hit. It does almost no damage to Lava Monsters due to their extreme heat, or Slimy Slugs because of their thick skin. In the PlayStation game, the Laser Beam is Powerful enough to blast through any drillable walls just as effectively as vehicle-mounted lasers. In this version, only monsters can be killed by a Laser Beam.

In the Windows game, the Laser Beam has a bug that causes the entire Energy Crystal store to be drained while firing on some newer computers.

Pusher Beam

Get Pusher Beam icon

The Pusher Beam is a weapon that fires a force field ray that knock creatures back.

The Sonic Blaster is a small machine that can be activated and dropped to scare off nearby creatures. It does not require Action Stations to be activated, and Rock Raiders need to be manually ordered to use it. Following a short countdown after initial deployment, Sonic Blasters start emitting a startling noise and a display of light and smoke. Dropping one near a Slimy Slug will repel it temporarily. Once enough Sonic Blasters have been used, the Slimy Slug will retreat altogether.[verify] This tool is only used in the Windows game.

Sonic Blasters have on occasion been known to cause game crashes, due to some part of the animation file not working with some newer computers.[verify]
