Small Digger
The Small Digger is a small, inexpensive vehicle used by the Rock Raiders for mining. It is a small four-wheeled vehicle, equipped with two chainsaw blades for cutting rock at a moderate speed, and a cargo tray that can dump its contents. It also has a magnet behind the driver's seat, which allows the Tunnel Transport to carry it in the set 4980 Tunnel Transport, which both vehicles are featured in.
In the PC game
In the Windows version of LEGO Rock Raiders, the Small Digger is classified as a small vehicle, and requires only one Energy Crystal for power. A Rock Raider must be trained as a driver to use a Small Digger.
It can drill through all types of drillable rock at a faster speed than a Rock Raider, though nowhere near as quickly as the Chrome Crusher can. It can drill all types of Drillable Rock. Without upgrades, it takes two seconds to drill Dirt, four seconds to drill Loose Rock, 180 seconds (3 minutes) to drill Hard Rock, and eight seconds to drill Seams. It moves at a decent speed of 2.0 blocks per second. Players will most likely use a Small Digger early on in most longer levels, and may even keep it through the entire level if there isn't much Hard Rock.
