4970 Chrome Crusher
4970 Chrome Crusher is a Rock Raiders set released in 1999. It contains 167 pieces and has an MSRP of $30. It features Axle with the Chrome Crusher, as well as a boulder with an Energy Crystal and dynamite. This set, and the vehicle it features, has become an icon of the series.
The original catalog description said: "Blast out Brickonium with the powerful laser! Its massive wheels can maneuver over the roughest, rockiest terrain. And its powerful drill can bore through solid rock to unearth the precious brickonium crystals! Requires 2AAA batteries to operate lights (not included)." It was labeled for Ages 8-12 with an original list price of $33. First edition releases includes a small comic.
