Small Mobile Laser Cutter

The Small Mobile Laser Cutter is a Small Vehicle that is equipped with a Mining Laser. It can mine Dirt, Loose Rock, and Seams from a distance. Like other ground-based vehicles, it can only be ridden by a Rock Raider that has been trained as a Driver. It takes 8 shots to mine Dirt, and around 18 shots to mine Loose Rock. It cannot feasibly mine Seams or Hard Rock, but it would take around 200 shots. It can mine rock from up to 1.25 squares away. Every two shots will drain an Energy Crystal. The SMLC moves at a slow 0.5 squares/sec, and is possibly the least useful Vehicle in the game, with its only use lying in recreation. However, like all Laser-equipped units, it can be quite useful as a weapon against Monsters.
In the Playstation Game, the Laser is powered by Laser Power Cells, and is much more powerful, being able to cut through all types of drillable Rock.
Upgrades
There is only one upgrade available for the Small Mobile Laser Cutter.
Drill
This upgrade supposedly upgrades the Laser in some way, but in its AE file no change occurs. The same laser is mounted; ergo, the end result is a waste of Ore.
