Its main purpose is to transport [[Rock Raider|Rock Raiders]] across both [[Water]] and [[Lava]], and can only be ridden by a Rock Raider that has been trained as a [[Pilot]]. It is the only vehicle, aside from the unused [[Tunnel Transport]], that is capable of crossing Lava. It moves at 2.5 squares/sec.  There are no upgrades available for this vehicle.

Official render of the Tunnel Scout

The Tunnel Scout is a flying vehicle used by the Rock Raiders for advanced reconnaissance. It is a small helicopter that can transport a Rock Raider across land, water, and lava, keeping its pilot out of trouble with its high speed. It did not appear in any sets, and does not appear outside of the video games.

In the PC game

In the Windows version of LEGO Rock Raiders, the Tunnel Scout is classified as a small vehicle, and requires three Energy Crystals for power. A Rock Raider must be trained as a pilot to use a Tunnel Scout.
