Summary

Description A development screenshot of the Windows version of LEGO Rock Raiders. The top left and bottom right corners each have a watermark for PCDome.hu (now PlayDome.hu).

Visible differences from the final version of the game include:

  • The zoom in and out buttons use arrows instead of magnifying glasses with plus and minus symbols.
  • The energy crystal icons in the meter for energy crystals collected are blue instead of green. The counters in the bottom right corner for energy crystals and ore stored are also smaller.
  • The O2 symbol on the air supply meter glows and is positioned slightly more to the right. It is also incorrectly written as O2.
  • The message panel has some slight difference
  • Several notification tabs are displayed that are unused or changed in the final version of the game, including:
    • A blue energy crystal.
    • A lit stick of dynamite, likely using either "DynamiteTip.bmp" or "info-dynamite.bmp".
    • A white LEGO brick, likely using either "info-construct.bmp" or "BuildingTIP.bmp".
    • A power path, using "info_path.bmp".
    • Two separate information icons, likely meant to differentiate between Rock Raiders and Rock Raider vehicles#vehicles being teleported out rather than having a generic teleportation notification.
  • The numbers displaying how many of a certain type of notification there are are on the opposite sides of the tabs, and some are above the maximum limit of nine that exists in the final game.
  • An information button is present in the top row of buttons, possibly intended for the planned in-game encyclopedia.
  • The buttons for the small vehicles and large vehicles menus are missing.
  • No text is displayed in the information panel explaining that the player can click on the ground where the cursor is to make the selected Rock Raider move there.
  • A Rock Raider is displaying a blank task bubble, "Bblank.bmp", which is not used in the final version of the game.
  • Rock monsters are in an ice cave, something that does not occur in the released game.
  • Soil is still a useable wall type.
